Savonarola may not be my model for leadership, but I have to admire his radical conviction. His observations about the corruption of religion have rung true throughout the centuries which have followed this 15th century Dominican prist.

what is sad is that you could take any quote from all of christian history that is critical of the church and it would still be apt today.

Of course, but that is probably true for every season of church life. That is what makes guys like Savonarola prophets.
