Phil, I saw the posts about you on John's blog. Wow, what a mess. I had my own nightmare with a congregation in New Mexico. It, together with my father's unexpected death, drove me to depression and nearly out of the faith. I'm only really starting to recover now, in New Jersey of all places. I'm going to make a note of your blogs and try to keep up. In my teen years I dabbled in neo-paganism.
Adam, thanks for popping in. Yep, you know the feeling - may God bless you in the recovery of all that is good, and in the rejection of those things which superfluous to knowing God.
